When you are running a business, finding the time to pause and reflect can be difficult because of your daily demands and schedule. This is often when we start to feel overwhelmed or uninspired because we don’t have the mental and physical space to really focus. Taking yourself out of your normal environment and hitting the reset button in new surroundings with different people has a positive impact on your wellbeing and therefore the wellbeing of your business because you are giving yourself the time to recharge. Creating this space to breathe allows you to see your business and yourself from a different perspective.

The INSPIRE Business Retreat is for female founders and women on the entrepreneurial journey seeking a transformational experience where business and personal development come together.

On May 27th 2019 our INSPIRE journey begins at our luxury retreat house in Barcelona. You will find an intimate and supportive space where you can organically connect with like-minded women and enjoy powerful conversations and workshops and talks designed to help you with different aspects of your business.
A typical INSPIRE retreat day might start with a mindfulness session or beach walk to help you to get focused before we start our morning group workshop and planning session. Then we sit down to a healthy and delicious brunch cooked by a local chef to fuel us for our afternoon activities. After brunch we head into our second workshop of the day and you also have free time to go out and explore the sights of the city. In the evening we might head to a rooftop yoga session to relax us after a day of brainstorming or listen to a talk from a local member of the Barcelona business community.

The Retreat Programme

The main focus of our retreat programme is a mix of daily workshops led by our resident experts Nancie Vito and Victoria Watson and talks from local female founders in the Barcelona start-up community. Our resident experts are both experienced business owners with specific expertise in life coaching, business growth and development, marketing and communications.
In order to support you in the best way possible, we will also be asking for your input into our programme content. If there are any specific topics you are interested in and which you would like to explore as part of the retreat we will ask for you to outline these before the retreat begins. Example topics might be personal branding, productivity, mindset work, strategy and planning, funding and investment.
To set the tone for the week we will begin with a business vision board and intention setting session designed to get you focused on where you are now Vs what might be next for you in your business. This exercise will also shape what we as a group can support you with during our time together.

Our Retreat Location

Barcelona is a classic destination and one of our favourite cities. We have chosen Barcelona because it has an amazing ambience, bustling start up community, a great wellbeing scene and much more to discover.
The Retreat House 
We will be staying in a beautifully designed house in the heart of the city which is spacious, relaxing and has all the luxurious touches you would expect. We have chosen the space as it is the perfect environment for us to get inspired.
Accommodation is based on twin occupancy, however if you prefer to have you own room please let us know at the time of booking. Bathrooms in the house are shared.
Should you need space to work outside of the house, we can recommend local spots to co-work and also arrange passes for you depending on your needs.
There will be a living room area and kitchen/dining space which you can use as and when you want to. A daily health brunch and non alcoholic refreshments are provided.

Your Hosts

Victoria Watson is Sojourn’s founder as well as a personal brand, PR and communications expert who specialises in working with female founders and women in business. Victoria runs programmes which help her clients to create more visibility and brand awareness both online and offline. She founded Sojourn because she was inspired by the growing number of women who are running location independent businesses and combining their passion for travel with their work. Sojourn is primarily an editorial platform for female founders to share their business stories, but also it is a real life community where women can connect and forge relationships with each other as they travel.

Nancie Vito is a personal development coach, public health professional and consultant specialising in helping people flourish. She works with creatives, aspiring entrepreneurs and other professionals who want to get unstuck, prevent burnout and take steps towards what they really want. Nancie is a regular contributor to publications including Thrive Global, The Huffington Post and Mind, Body Green.

When are the retreat dates? 

Monday May 27th to Friday May 31st 2019

I’ve never been on a business retreat, what should I expect? 

Imagine spending time with a small group of women who are all on the entrepreneurial journey, sharing your experiences and stories and learning from each other in a beautiful location. For 4 days we come together to enjoy a mix of workshops and talks on topics that will suport your business led by our two resident experts. To create balance and relaxation time, we add in fun activities like group yoga, walks and you also have free time for you to enjoy the city.

When should I arrive and depart?  

Please arrive on the afternoon of May 27th. Departures take place on May 31st from 1pm.


What will the accommodation be like?  

We are staying in a beautiful house in the heart of Barcelona which has all of the amenities we will need for the week. We have chosen this house for comfort and space and it provides the perfect environment for us to get creative but also relax.

Bedrooms are spacious and shared on a twin basis. If you prefer to have your own room, please do let us know at the time of booking as there will be an additional charge.

There will be group introductions before the retreat via our private Facebook page and we will let also you know who you will be sharing with in advance.

How many people will be joining the retreat?

The retreat is open to a maximum of 10 women because we want to give you the best possible chance to immerse yourself in the workshops and activities and also to get to know your other business buddies.

To register your interest please email and we will set up a time for a short introductory Skype call.

The retreat is £995 per person based on luxury twin room accommodation. The price includes all outlined activities, workshops and talks, a daily brunch, use of the house (including the kitchen and unlimited hot drinks) and other facilities plus free WIFI.

There is also a celebration dinner on the final evening at a local restaurant which we cover the cost of.

Deposits and Payments

We ask for an initial non refundable deposit of £200 at the time of booking. The balance is then due for payment by April 1st 2019. If you would prefer to pay the balance in two payments, this can also be arranged on request.
